Mesothelioma Support
Most people with cancer and their families find themselves from time
to time in need of assistance in handling the many logistical and
emotional issues that can arise after diagnosis, such as choosing
a physician, deciding on a treatment,
covering unexpected expenses
, coping with physical pain,
side effects and grief. The
National Cancer Institute has compiled a list of some of
the national organizations that provide various types of support.
Support groups within your own community can also be a
good place to find first-hand information about other person's coping
methods as well as local resources. Hospice (at home care for the
terminally ill) services are also available in most communities.
Hospice care is covered by many insurance policies, but
if it is not covered by your policy, most hospices will provide assistance
by using funds donated by the community or from memorial or foundation
gifts.
