Mesothelioma Support
Very often people with cancer and their families find that they may from time
to time be in need of assistance with handling the many logistical and
emotional issues that can occur after a cancer diagnosis, such as choosing
a physician, deciding on a treatment,
covering unexpected expenses
, coping with physical pain,
side effects and grief. The
National Cancer Institute has compiled a list of some of
the national organizations that provide various types of support.
Locating support groups within your own area and community can also be a
good place to find first-hand information about other coping
methods as well as local resources. A hospice (at home care for the
terminally ill) service may also be available in most communities.
Hospice care is covered by many different insurance policies, but
if it is not covered by your policy, most hospices will provide financial assistance
by using funds donated by the community or from memorial or foundation
gifts.
